Hotel employee accused of stabbing manager, coworker

According to a police probable cause statement, the attack occurred at 8:50 a.m. at the Homewood Suites hotel on Chesterfield Parkway West.

Police said Randy E. Regans (age not provided) arrived for his shift, approached the manager, punched him in the face, and began to stab him in the torso.

A coworker attempted to pull Regans away from the manager, but Regans stabbed her in the thigh.

Regans ran off into a nearby subdivision but was eventually apprehended.

The victims were rushed to the hospital to be treated for their wounds.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Regans with two counts first-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action. Reagan remains jailed on a $50,000 cash-only bond. He’s got a bond reduction hearing scheduled for Sept. 11 with a preliminary hearing to follow on Oct. 1.
